On the top chart, you see a one touch option that will payout the trader 420% if the price of oil declines and hits the target of $93.00 per barrel. With crude prices just having broken through $97.00, to really simplify this, you are going to need oil to decline by about $4.00 per barrel in the span of one week. Do you know what it takes to move the price of oil in such a way? War. The chances of oil pulling almost 5% in the week time-frame you have is very very slim. This is exactly why the percentages can be so high. Some of them even go up as high as 700% depending on which asset you’re looking for. Do you see the point of this though? These big numbers and the flashy ads that promise 650% gains don’t mention how difficult it is for an asset to actually move that far and that fast.

Moving on to the facts then, yes it is possible to achieve these high percentage payouts but don’t go jumping into binary options trading thinking you’re just a few clicks away from a massive triple digit gain when your option touches a target rate “once”. You have to sit back and ask yourself “how can they afford to payout such a high return?” The answer to that questions is that they rarely do and the countless trades that expire worthless is exactly the reason for it. We were on a live chat once with a broker and the representative told us that he warns all of his traders to avoid using the one touch options because they are extremely risky and extremely difficult to profit on. When you look at the above charts and if you know anything about the price of oil, extremely difficult to profit on is an understatement. In our research on one touch options, which has actually spanned back a few months, there was one instance where we saw a possibility that these one touch options may have paid out and that was with a Google one touch option that coincided with a much anticipated news release. This is the one time that we saw a target line on any one touch options get hit.

So what does this mean for you? Simple, think about the numbers and ask yourselves how the broker can offer such a high payout. Then realize that the answer is because the chances of you winning that trade are incredibly slim and the big percentages then are just used to entice you in. What can you do? Completely ignore the one touch trading platform and focus on lower returns that offer realistic trading possibilities Stick to the regular binary options or the 60 second binary options platforms. Atleast with these, there is no insanely out of reach target goal and your focus here is more on picking an accurate direction for the asset to travel.
